Most people identify lavender oil as a calming and therapeutic oil that can assist with better sleep, soothing anxiety, pain relief and even as a key ingredient for homemade beauty treatments.

Do you have young children in your household and don’t want to expose them to harsh chemicals or bacteria on the floor and other surfaces? Lavender is a natural disinfectant and has amazing antiviral and antibacterial properties. Just add a few drops of lavender oil into your normal cleaning routine – giving you an amazing fragrant house as a bonus!
Lavender oil naturally fights redness and helps the skin heal after a major acne breakout. Add a couple of drops of lavender oil, along with frankincense, cedarwood, and chamomile, to a bottle of your chosen carrier oil like jojoba oil or coconut oil. This will create a great soothing treatment which is completely natural, with noticeable changes to your skin after consistent use.
Fill a baby food jar with oatmeal and add 5-8 drops of lavender oil along with a dash of water to create an excellent natural scrub for beautiful skin! Use just a little each day and your skin will be as smooth as a baby’s bottom in no time. You can use just about any DoTerra essential oil, but lavender is a great choice for problem skin.
ALLEVIATING EAR PAIN
If you struggle with occasional ear pain or ear aches, lavender could just be your new best friend! Warm the lavender oil lightly being careful not to scald it, and mix it with a carrier oil like coconut oil or olive oil. Massage the blended oil around the ears (not in the ears) and near the glands in the throat to assist with pain relief.
