How to Detox with a Himalayan Salt Bath Soak

For many people, a warm bath at the end of a busy day is a wonderful way to relax and recharge. But, did you know that bath salts also have a powerful detoxifying effect?
Himalayan bath salts are a great way to purify your body, soothe aching muscles and rejuvenate after a long or stressful day. By combining a unique blends of salts and essential oils, you can create a powerful detox mixture that will not only detox you, but relax you as well.
Bath Soak Detox Recipe
1/4 cup fine Himalayan Bath Salt
1/4 cup Epsom Salt
1/3 cup Baking Soda
1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
10 drops of your favourite Essential Oil
1. In a large jar or bowl, combine Himalayan salt, Epsom salt, and baking soda. Mix in hot or boiling water until the crystals dissolve.
2. Fill your bath tub with warm water. Add apple cider vinegar and mix well. Mix in your salt mixture and stir.
3. Add your essential oils and hop in!
Try to soak for at least 40 minutes to give your body enough time to remove all the toxins and absorb the minerals in the salts.
This bath soak is also great for those with respiratory issues and skin conditions, but because of its powerful detoxification properties it should not be used more than once or twice a week.
TIP: Drink iced water while you soak to avoid dehydration and if you get too warm, place a cold washcloth on the back of your neck to regulate your temperature.
Remember that after a detox your body will most likely feel tired, and you may need to rest, be sure to listen to your body’s cues and take things slowly.
