Detoxing After the Holiday Season with Himalayan Salt

For most of us, the holidays are a time of freedom and fun. Visiting with family and friends, maybe eating a little more than usual over Christmas, or drinking a little more than usual over the new year. It happens to the best of us. And it means we often come back to reality in the post holiday season feeling a little less vital than we could. But don’t worry, getting back on track is simple.
Detoxing Your Way Back to Good Health is Easy With the Help of Himalayan Salt
Starting your day with a glass of sole will help you remove the toxins you’ve accumulated over the holiday season. And best of all, making your own is easy!
All you need is a mason jar, some good quality spring water, and 2 cups of Himalayan Salt.
Simply fill the mason jar half way with salt, top it up with water, then seal it and set it aside overnight.
In the morning if all of the salt has disappeared, add another half cup of salt crystals and set it aside again for around 6 hours. If when you come back there are still salt crystals in the bottom of your jar then you’re ready to go! The salt crystals indicate that the water has become saturated with salt and can absorb no more - which means your sole solution is ready to go!
Add one teaspoon of the solution to a glass of spring water every morning.

Himalayan Salt Bath Detox
Another great way to help rebalance your body after the Christmas season is to detox while you relax in a warm bath. Even just dissolving some salt crystals into your bath water can have a healing effect. The salt will draw out toxins while your body draws in the 84 minerals and trace elements.
But, if you’re looking for a more serious detox solution we have just the thing!
What you’ll need:
1/4 cup fine Himalayan Bath Salt
1/4 cup Epsom Salt
1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/3 cup Baking Soda
10 drops of Lemon or Geranium Essential Oil
Simply dissolve everything into your bath water and hop in! For best results have your bath right before bed and stay submerged for at least 40 minutes, remembering to hydrate with iced water while you soak. Himalayan salt is a natural hypnotic so bathing right before bed will help you get a wonderful nights sleep.
