HOW DO SALT SCRUBS WORK?

Salt scrubs have been popular for many years as a natural home treatment for tired, lacklustre skin. But how exactly do they work?

Salt granules help to exfoliate the skin by removing dead skin cells and allowing new cells to regenerate. Salt scrubs also help to stimulate your blood circulation.   1. HIMALAYAN SALT, GINGER AND GRAPEFRUIT SCRUB

Best suited for invigorating tired skin! Feel the zing with this tangy combination of ginger and grapefruit.

You’ll need:

¼ cup of Himalayan salt

¼ cup sweet almond oil

5 x drops Ginger essential oil

5 x drops Frankincense essential oil

5 x drops Grapefruit essential oil

Mix together in an airtight container. Gently massage the scrub into damp skin for 60 seconds, then rinse with warm water.

  1. HIMALAYAN SALT, PATCHOULI AND GERANIUM SCRUB

Best suited for toning, tightening and giving your skin a more youthful appearance (yes, please!)

You’ll need:

¼ cup of Himalayan salt

¼ cup sweet almond oil

9 x drops Myrrh essential oil

4 x drops Patchouli essential oil

4 x drops Geranium essential oil

Mix together in an airtight container. Gently massage the scrub into damp skin for 60 seconds, then rinse with warm water.

  1. HIMALAYAN SALT, COCONUT & LEMON SCRUB

Best suited for refreshing and renewing dull skin. Packed with Vitamin C, Lemon is your skin’s new best friend.

You’ll need:

¼ cup of Himalayan salt

¼ cup liquid coconut oil

10 x drops Lemon essential oil
