If you’re a serious essential oil lover like us, you’ll know how tricky it can be to keep all of your essential oils organised!

Once your essential oil collection starts to grow, they can easily become messy, crowded and harder to find the right oils you need, when you need them.

With this in mind, we wanted to share 5 simple tips to help you organise your essential oils at home and on the go. Keep reading for some quick ideas to get you started!

Use storage boxes

This is probably our top tip when it comes to keeping multiple essential oils organised. Essential oil storage boxes are designed with multiple slots and compartments, allowing you to easily store your oils without having to worry about spillage or losing track of your different oils.

Depending on how many essential oils you have in your collection, storage boxes are available in many different shapes and sizes to suit your requirements. Some storage boxes also contain handy compartments for accessories like carrier oils, too.

You might also want to keep an essential oil booklet handy in your storage box for those times when you’re not quite sure which oil is going to be the best fit for your needs.

Label your blends with cap sticker

Cap stickers are another great way to help you find the oils you need much quicker! Cap stickers are essentially stickers designed for the top of your essential oil caps, so you can easily see the names of your different oils from a glance. You can also use cap stickers to label your different essential oil blends, so you’ll never be confused about which oils are contained in your different roller bottles.

Organise by usage

Another tip is to keep your oils organised by how often you use them. Keep the oils that you use daily together in an easy-to-access place, while the oils you use less frequently can be stored towards the bottom.

Organise by properties

You might also want to organise your essential oils by properties for easy access. For example, your calming and relaxing oils like lavender, ylang-ylang and bergamot can be stored together, while your antibacterial oils like tea tree, lemon and orange can be kept close.

Other categories to consider might be for household cleaning, focus and concentration or even just beautiful fragrances for diffusing around the home. This will allow you to easily create blends when you need them, depending on your requirements at the time.

Make a travel kit

Creating a small travel kit can be handy for those times when you might be travelling or needing your essential oils on the go! Use a smaller storage box or secure bag to fit your favourite everyday oils and a small roller bottle filled with coconut oil to allow you to enjoy your essential oils anywhere, at any time!
